The whole of the NCA picture archives (over 350 pictures) have now been uploaded to the NCA website server (a process which took almost two hours even with broadband!). They are split into several folders, and they can all now be accessed directly - but not very conveniently. The classification is an exact copy of the CD which John Wheeler supplied, plus those from Dave Watson of the Parks 2005 Congress, some of the NCA Kings Hall event by John Turnock, and some historical ones from Phil Jackson. Many of the original photos were taken by MJT Smith. A selection of the more interesting ones can now be accessed properly via the links below. Several of the original pictures were far too large to fit on a typical display screen, and the results when viewed with some web browsers were not very satisfactory. Therefore the ones linked to directly have been processed using special software to reduce the size, and when possible, improve the picture quality. The names of the resulting files all begin with 'tn_...' (stands for 'thumbnail') as generated by the picture-processing software used. The resulting files are much smaller and therefore download much quicker than the originals. If anyone can supply further details about any of the pictures in this amazing historical collection (particularly dates), I'll put them on the website. Alternatively, if anyone would like a particular picture to be processed and linked directly, please let me know. However there's far too much to provide direct links to them all. Furthermore, if anyone has any interesting photographs which they are willing to lend me, I can scan them and store them with the rest. Thanks in anticipation.
