I am particularly interested in receiving news items, and corrections to such things as club details. Pictures of local events are also welcome by e-mail attachment, and several people have sent me some. However, scanning facilities are available if anyone would care to lend me real pictures.
Another source of local chess news is the NCA Bulletin, published five times a year (Nov, Jan, Mar, May & Sept). Copies of many previous editions may be ordered through any NCA club for £5, or posted individually for £6-50, from the editor John Wheeler (johndwheeler@blueyonder.co.uk). At the Northumberland Rapidplay held in Gosforth on Sat 20/2/10, the prizewinners were:

Due to lack of interest, the NCA has decided not to participate in the NCCU Jamboree in Bradford in March. (14/2/10)
